I have been really grumpy lately about email.
I seem to be getting more and more of it and being less and less interested in what is being “offered” to me. If you saw the last How to Mom Blog video, I think I might have even ranted about it for awhile!
So, I sat back and looked at WHY I am grumpy about it now and wasn’t a few months ago.
It dawned on me that I haven’t been doing my patented ”pitch back” technique {full disclosure: no one would patent this, it just sounds much more official that way}.
Business 2 Blogger was built on this philosophy…and I have gotten away from it.
Patented Pitch Back Technique
When someone/company/whoever sent me an email with a pitch that was not a good fit for me, I send back an email saying…
Thanks so much for contacting me! This is not a good fit for my blog. If you are looking for bloggers who would LOVE to be involved, please check out Business 2 Blogger. <—-YOUR B2B AFFILIATE LINK!!!!
Business 2 Blogger has a job board where you can post about this opportunity and bloggers who are interested will apply. No more cold emailing bloggers!
It will save you time, energy and a ton of deleted email.

- Post a copy of your email on your desktop or in an easy place to grab.
- Next time you get an email/press release/pitch/etc. that isn’t a good fit for your blog, reply to the email with your copied and pasted text and press send.
- You will earn 30% of what that company spends at B2B.
